About the Murray Business Network

The Murray Business Network aims to engage and inspire the local business community by providing opportunities to promote your organisation, access high profile speakers and meet like minded individuals. Organisations are able to cultivate opportunities through developing networking skills that lead to the formation of new relationships, clients, referrals and introductions. The up-skilling of an organisation increases productivity, capacity and profit, ensuring business growth and greater employment opportunities for the region.

The Murray Business Networks host four major networking functions each membership year, as well as social networking opportunities such as business site visits, social activities and workshops and members are kept informed through regular electronic communication and print media.

The development of a strong network requires making connections that will sustain more than a simple introduction: a successful relationship takes time and effort to build. MBN aims to provide its members with the support required to make these connections and to maintain them, resulting in a successful business network, as well as a network of successful businesses!

Currently members attending  MBN functions include accountants, insurance and property  agents, solicitors, education, community  & health professionals, service, retail, trade, manufacturing, hospitality and tourism operators, business consultants and government representatives.

MBN has over 100 members, located across northern Victoria and southern NSW, including Echuca, Moama, Kyabram, Tongala, Corop, Bendigo, Rochester, Lockington, Mathoura and Deniliquin.

Each of the four major networking functions incorporates a high profile guest presenter, who is supported by a local speaker chosen specifically to share their success story or area of expertise. Major functions provide attendees with numerous opportunities throughout the evening to meet and network with other business operators.

The member-only social events are the perfect opportunity to further develop business relationships in a relaxed environment, which is supportive of both your business and personal goals.

The ignition of trade and referrals between members is one of the Murray Business Network’s valued features. MBN’s purpose is to encourage networking amongst business owners, managers and employees in order to enhance:

  • the economic development, growth and sustainability in the region, and
  • the perception of the region as a place for business innovation and growth that is attractive to new business.

The MBN is a supporter of the Campaspe Young Professionals Network.

Launched in 2006, the CYP Network aims to provide young professionals in the region an opportunity to network and socialize with like-minded people and to listen to speakers from diverse backgrounds at quarterly functions held across the region. The Network provides individuals with the opportunity for professional development as well as the ability to network and form friendships.
